Dogs

Well these guys are not exactly farm animals, or even working dogs, better dsicribed as our babies. However they were part of the reason we craved more space. And as these guys are a huge part of or lives, I am sure they will be mentioned many times. So best we introduce them;

So meet our 4 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Ffion

The boss of the house. She maybe female, but this little lady rules the roost. She has a very affectionate side (as long as you have earned it), but is not to be trusted anywhere near birds.
And our most recent canine addition Madog, he's a Mastiff pup

And growing up fast, now 12 months old, he came to us since we moved to Maes-y-Delyn; following the loss of Griffith.
This was not an easy decision, but he found us. He's a beautiful dog and has been great for us, as well as Ffion and despite his size, is definietly "Mammy's boy".I just keep reminding myself that Griff would have loved him.

Griff came into our live in 2007. We decided that we missed the company and companionship a dog brings. So we found Griff, born locally. However Matt fell in love with the little red bitch in the litter. So as a surprise I arranged to have both... they were inseparable in the litter and til the day he left us.
Griff moved to Maes-y-Delyn with us on 30th July 2011. We were excited about the prospect of providing them with acreage to play and grow old in.
Unfortunatley the excitment of  a new home and neighbour hood to explore was too great (despite our "puppy proofing" of the internal garden) and on Thursday 7th July, both Ffion & Griff went exploring. Only Griff didn't make it home, I found our beloved boy on my way home that evening.

This set back did see us consider whether we had made the right decision and selling was a serious consideration.

Griff now rests forever at Maes-y-Delyn next to his Lemon tree,
that we planted in his memory.

In Memory of Griffith

Welsh: meaning Loyal, strong warrior/lord. Often used to discribe those of red haired decent.

Well you were stong and loyal,

and of red haired decent, but you were definitely no warrior! You were a lover, not a fighter, and from the first day we met you, you stole our hearts... to us Griffith meant 'our beautiful baby boy'

Love at first sight

We couldn't wait to bring you home... and the surprise Daddy by bring Ffion home too. But you were inseperable and love nothing better than be
ing together

You loved walks (and even runs with me), especially if it was to the beach. You loved to play, run free and to swim. You would only go in as far as we did though! But you loved nothing more than a quiet spot for a cwtch.

The two of you made this, our move to Australia home. You made all the difference. And no matter what, your cheaky smile and wag of your tail made everything better.

Forever with us -x-
